Had fun with this one, though I did run into a bug.
If you are holding a direction when you talk to Big Doug you just keep walking in whatever direction you were holding. If you are going left this no big deal as you run into a wall, but going right you actually can walk right out of the scene uncontrollably and the game doesn't seem to recover from that.
I found the default keybinds a little cumbersome as well. I feel like the toggle light and burst light buttons should be adjacent to each other. I accidentally recalled all my light buddies in the last room when trying to do the burst light because I flubbed my keys.
This is a tiny nitpick though on an otherwise great jam game. The art was charming (especially the ghosty-like light sprites) and the music was fun.
thanks so much for the comment! I've noted both of these and we should have a fix (and maybe some more content???) around the time the jam wraps up!
Good job on this! Simple and easy to understand. The little lights were well done!
Thanks so much!
This is an interesting little game. High quality assets and decent execution on everything I've seen. Still a bit unfinished, but have to commend the focus on gameplay over polish =)
Thank you so much! It is our first time making a game and we had a lot to learn while doing it but we're proud of how much we managed in just two weeks. We're excited to keep working on it in the future :)
ay thanks for the comment! We were a bit down to the wire and I didn't take the possibility of the website not working into account when planning my day lol. Hope to roll out some fixes soon (once i make sure i can without breaking the rules)
This was nice!
Thanks so much!!! Glad you enjoyed :)
